    7. 1A topic that I have in mind for my Informative speech is to inform my audience about the many benefits of your dog a raw food diet over the store-bought kibbles that we all know so well. The reason that I chose this topic is because of the experiences I have had with my German Shepard Cleo. Over the past year, I have been feeding her a raw food diet and I have experienced a complete change in her overall health, and I feel like it’s wonderful information for everyone with a pet to know about. With that experience and the results I got, I felt like it gave me the credibility to inform other people about the benefits their dog could experience (Lucas, 2019, p. 185). The three potential main points I chose that would explain my topic are how feeding your dog raw food can lead to healthier skin, it can lead to better overall dental health in your dog, and it can also give your dog higher energy levels. I thought these were some of the most important benefits that I have come across that I thought could help me properly inform my audience about the benefits. I thought the best order to put the main points were in topical order because of how the speech will be divided. All of the subtopics become main points throughout the speech which will help the overall speech sound better (Lucas, 2019, p. 167). Overall, I feel like this topic will be interesting enough to grab the attention of my audience and be an enjoyable experience for

    10. Speaking with confidence generally means believing in yourself, remember your audience would not take you seriously unless and until you believe in yourself. when you are calm and focused you can manage your thoughts better, confidence also help speakers speak slowly so they are understood. This applys more if you are a person that speak four languages like me with a thick accent. One of the major concerns I have as a student in my class is stage fright. Due to my readings in my course materials I know that I am not the only one. It still does not make me feel better because we all do different things to overcome that problem (Lucas, 2019, p.9). One of the main reasons that make me have stage fright it is the idea of standing up on a stage full of people whether to deliver a message, to entertain, or to do a speech. That is the reason I can consider myself as a nervous speaker. The way I enhance my confidence based on these factors. First I do my research to make sure that I know what I’m going to talk about, and if I do make a mistake I’ll be able to recover quickly. Secondly I make sure to organize ahead of time, for instance to carefully plan out the information I want to represent including any props, audio, or visual aids. The more organized I am, the less nervous I will be. and my final point is to practice my speech over and over again so I can be more comfortable with my audience. Then I do not think of my problem I have with ”stage fright”. Iinstead I think about it as being excited.(Lucas, 2019, p.10). References:Lucas, S. E. (2019). The Art of Public Speaking (13 ed.).
