Unfortunately, natural disasters create great amounts of tragedy and damage, but they are an unavoidable part of history. At least there is beauty, history, artworks, and architectures preserved because of events such as the Theran Eruption; this gives humans the opportunity to have a unique look into the past because the eruption helped preserve them.
