The Milgram Study 1963 is one of the most famous studies in the history of psychology, and the study ran in the early 1960s. The study was designed to determine if average people would harm another person just because an authority figure told them to do so. Read the study. Did the results surprise you? Why or why not? What did the results of this study tell you about human beings? If you were doing the study, what might you have done differently? Do you think that if they did that study today, the results would be the same? Why or why not? Did you think that this was an ethical study? Why or why not?
