Directions: For this assignment, you will take an abbreviated form of the Myers-Briggs Personality-Type Indicator online. This test is based on Jung’s theory of personality. This test identifies 16 personality types by a combination of the four paired personality indicators:

E – Extroversion                        I – Introversion

N – Intuitive                               S – Sensing

T – Thinking                               F – Feeling

J – Judging                                P – Perceptions

Then answer the following questions. When appropriate, cite information from your textbook or the online article to support your answers to these questions!

1. Discuss Marcia’s Identity Statuses (extensions of Erikson’s ideas) as it relates to your own development towards a career path. Chapter 10 in your textbook will be particularly helpful for this question. Remember that people can move back and forth in statuses throughout their adult years!
2. Describe that relatively “new” phase called emerging adulthood. What are the main characteristics of emerging adulthood? Be sure to cite information from the text and/or article, or other sources.

3. Reflect on your personality profile using the Myers-Briggs survey, and describe how your personality is a good good fit for your chosen career path, or maybe even for why you are making a change in your career path. For this question, you can take a variety of approaches given how personal the question is; try to connect your personality profile with subsequent life/career choices as you see fit.
