Writing Prompts
1. Describe the purpose of this document. Who is its intended audience? What impact do the creators of the document want to have on their audience?
2. Identify two examples in the document of suggestions about how to strengthen support networks for survivors of abuse. Why do you think each suggestions might be effective? Or there limitations to either of these suggestions?
3. Evaluate the support planning checklist (p. 15-16). What is its purpose? How might this checklist be useful to survivors and their friends and family? Do any example items on the checklist stand out to you? Why?
4. Evaluate the boundary setting exercise (p. 17). What is its purpose? Do you think this would be an effective exercise for friends and family of survivors of abuse? Why or why not?
