Journal Article Summary/Review

You will find a journal article pertaining to a topic covered during the course (COGNITIVE PSYCHOLOGY) and write a review/summary of the article.  The review should include a summary of the article, why you chose the topic, and how the information adds to your understanding of the topic.  The topic can be applied or theoretical.

Article Requirements:

1.  Use PSYCINFO or a related database to obtain journal articles published within the last 5 years (you may use an older article but you must get my approval first).

2.  1” margins LRTB, double spaced, normal paragraph indents, page # upper right

3.  5+ pages of text (excluding cover sheet); cover sheet shows:  Summary of …”, your name, date.

4.  Save the review using this filename format:  [first name initial][last name] review.xxx

Here is an example:  asmith review.doc. You will lose a point if you don’t use this filename format.

Only the following file types are acceptable: .doc, .docx, .rtf, .pdf.  a)Send the Review as an attachment or a link to my e-mail address (5 points deducted if I do not receive the article cc or link).  Put ‘Review Paper and your name’ on the subject line
